The Finals - Week 2 2024

We’re up to our neck in finals action and it’s exciting to be part of it. Semi Final weekend presents great opportunities.

Last weekend, the support at Maffra on Saturday and City Oval on Sunday for our teams was excellent. It's a great match schedule for us this weekend with none of our games overlapping. There’s No choices to make, no qtr to miss - just an awesome opportunity to support each of our teams.

Huge thanks to all the volunteers who planned for and executed hosting Sunday’s finals. You were first class and there were zero issues on the day.

After putting their feet up last weekend, our 15’s are headfirst into finals action today in a 2nd semi v Sale. Our girls have worked hard throughout every game this season and are ready to go. A grand final spot ids the prize for the win.

Our Reserves hung tough last week defeating Maffra on their home deck and have what it takes to back it up with a win today over the Parrots at Leongatha. Keep an eye on our blend of youth & experience. We’re certain the magic will go up a level or two each week.

Our A’s created a Q2 blitz last week and the 15/3 scoreline broke the game wide open. It was awesome to watch. The Drouin Hawks stand between us and a preliminary final and we need to move them aside and keep building the momentum. Make sure you’re over courtside when all the action starts at 2:35pm.

Our 17’s are ready to go and need to get the better of Sale on Sunday to progress to the prelim final. Last weeks tough QF encounter was great preparation for the coming weeks. Our best is good enough.

Our Fourths played very well in tough conditions to shut down the Power last week. A big match v local rival Maffra on Sunday means our boys need to start playing right from the outset, just as they did last week.

“Sometimes the storyline is as simple as, 'We're just going to be the best, and we're going for the championships.” – (Becky Lynch WWE)

Challenge Yourself.

Good luck to all players and teams.

Go Redlegs.
