It’s a big weekend for the Redlegs on & off the field.
First off – Sunday is Father’s Day! So… Happy Father’s Day – Can’t think of a better way to spend the day than at the footy & netball. Enjoy your day.
Huge shout out to all our volunteers and sponsors that are making hosting the Elimination Final a stress-free project. We’re proud to be bringing the Gippsland League to East Gippsland and we’re proud of you for making it happen. Thanks.
With 17 wins and a draw, our 15’s have taken all before them this season and sit on top of the table at the end of the H&A’s. They head straight through to the 2nd semi next week at Leongatha. Well done girls. Enjoy your well earned week off.
Our A’s won through to 5th and take on Traralgon on Sunday. The home final is a bonus and our girls are pumped for the occasion. Make sure you’re over courtside when all the action starts at 2:35pm.
Our Reserves finished 3rd and take on local rivals Maffra on their home deck. We’ve got plenty of skill and run and we’ll use all our determination to muster the win today. A 2nd semi is the prize on offer.
Our 17’s have had a great season to date with 13 wins. One more this weekend over the Parrots will have us join the 15’s in the 2nd semi next week. Their best is good enough and we’re certain they’ll bring that on Saturday.
Our Fourths take on the Power in a do-or-die battle on City Oval. Not much has separated these two teams in the regular season so it promises to be a cracker. The 9am start at our home ground is a great opportunity to give them plenty of support and help them across the line. Maybe a crowd behind the goals and a few tunes are in order. What a way to kick off Father’s Day!
Well done to our 1’s, B’s, C’s, 3’s & 13’s on 2024. Your commitment & resilience shone through and your pride in your performance was on show each week.
