Ahhh September. How we love you. It’s a big weekend for us with 5 teams competing in the Finals. Well done to all players and coaches.
The season has ended for our seniors, A grade, reserves & U17. There’s plenty to celebrate and be proud of in the way we played and throughout. There may have been some opportunities missed but there were a lot more taken and there’s plenty to look forward to for 2024.
Our 16’s take on Maffra in the qualifying final. The prize on offer is a 2nd semi v Traralgon next week. H&A Matches between us have totalled 33 scoring shots to 34 so it is most likely today’s result will go down to the wire. Our fourths have shown great skill, teamwork and resilience throughout the season and have what it takes to win today.
13’s are 1 each v the Eagles this season so this will be another close one. We’re probably slight favourites and deserve the tag. We need to bring it today. You can do it.
Our 15’s are red hot and are capable of beating all comers. Today, that needs to be Maffra. We’ve performed strongly across the H&A and are real contenders.
18’s have persisted and improved this season. Many players have been rewarded with opportunities in the seniors and bring back what they’ve learned will make the team stronger. It’s 1 each v the Eagles and all need to show their skill and character today to get the win.
Our C Graders had a great win last week to earn their spot to take on Morwell today. It’s 1 each v the Tigers this season so another close one is one the cards. Our talent & determination are aplenty. Combining that with our teamwork should get us the W today
