King’s Birthday Fight MND Big Freeze round and we welcome Warragul to the City Oval. The Guls have been strong supporters of the event since the outset and we thank them for their involvement today.
Our Big Freeze 9 precinct is where you can purchase your beanie, there’s face painting for the kids and of course the big slide. Our sliders include EG & Omeo League footy Clubs, Warragul FNC & TRFM identities as well as our local MP Darren Chester. The boys from local footy show “A Kick in the Bush” are about too. The players will also pull up their socks and Sockit2MND.
Our sliders have done an enormous job fundraising.We’re well on our way to our target of $50,000 and we thank you for your generosity & support in reaching that target today. All funds raised go to vital & urgent research to find effective treatments and a cure for MND.
It’s also a day we welcome our past players including celebrating our 1983 reserves & our 2013 U18 (Back2Back inc 2012) Premiership heroes. We’re also recognising our 1963 seniors R/Up (by 1pt) & ’83 Thirds R/up. Thanks for your contribution to the Redlegs. They’ll all be enjoying themselves and adding plenty of atmosphere from the past players balcony. If you spot them getting around make sure you give ‘em a thumbs up and well done.
