Rnd 16 2024 Record

It seems like finals have come early to the Gippsland League each of our final 3 rounds for our 1’s & A’s being akin to an elimination final. The stakes are high. Maybe we can draw some inspiration from  our Olympians who perform at their best when it matters most. This is the final stage of our 4 game sprint to the bye….. the drive to the tape. Full power right to the line. We can get there, leaning forward, chest out – winners.

Our 15’s, 16’s,17’s & Ressies all seem finals bound and our C’s are also a chance with three very winnable games to round out the H&A’s. So with 7 teams still in the hunt, it’s exciting for players and supporters.

Thanks to our hosts for the weekend The North Pier Hotel in Cowes. It’s always a great experience at the North Pier with great meals, atmosphere and accommodation.

It's Finals time for our Youth Girls. They take on the Dusties in the qualifying final in Morwell on Sunday. The game starts at midday which makes it the perfect stopover on the drive home. So don’t drive past. Your support at the game will be enormous with a win shooting them straight to the grand final in a fortnight. Go Girls!

Our U15’s also begin their finals campaign in a huge elimination final v Lindenow on Sunday. The game starts at 12:30pm. With two wins in the H&A’s our Redlegs will deservedly start favourites however finals are a different caper. If you’re in town, they’d love to see you at the game and cheer them on to a place in the prelim. Go Redlegs!

Enjoy the game.Congratulations to Logan Austin who notches up 50 games in the Redlegs colours, We’ve improved as a team since he arrived and his best today will help us get the all important W.

Today mission is to keep some control of our our finals chances. The only way to do that for the 1’s & A’s is to get the Win over the Power today. It’s gonna be a battle royale. Bring it on!
