Rnd 15 Footy Record 2023

Round 15 and another tough assignment in the Gippsland League – Wonthaggi @ Wonthaggi. Some big matches across the schedule today and all needs need to bring their best.

Thanks to Vicky Waddell & the social crew for a great night at our everything 50’s ball last week. All that turned out had a rockin’ good time….. and the after party was pretty good too. Shout out to our venue host Club Eastwood – a great place for your next function or just a meal out with friends.

After blowing away the Parrots in a great final term last week, our 16’s will be keen to keep the momentum going and need grab a win today. It’s a tight ladder in the 16’s and no room for complacency today. The twos are a good chance to win today and 4 qtrs of good footy will help make the after game refreshment taste even better. The seniors will need to bring last week’s effort and then some to get over the line today. 22 goers all day today and anything is possible.

The bookies say the A Grade will go down to the wire and after a strong performance last week we’re sure we’ve got the goods. C’s can consolidate in the top 5 and winning form is good form heading toward the end of the season. 17’s are up for a challenge and good enough to win anywhere when on song. Today’s a great day to regain that winning feeling. The 15’s & 13’s will head in favourites and have earned that some great netball leading in. Show ‘em what you’ve got.

It's week 1 of finals in the EGJFA and our Junior Redlegs are featuring in cut-throat 1st semi’s. 13’s kick off the day v Lucknow and with just 2 % points separating the two it will be a high pressure tussle. Action starts 9:30am. Our 15’s take on Lindenow who are always a tough opponent and we’ll need to bring our best to get the W. The game starts at 12:30pm. Your support at the ground could be the difference in our kids getting across the line – Make the choice to be there if you can. Go Redlegs!

Our Youth Girls had a strong 9 goal win over fellow contender Newborough last week. The final round of the season tomorrow with an away game v Morwell. There was great passages of play and, under the watchful eye of Gudgy & Tayah, the girls have continually improved throughout the season.
