Rnd 14 Footy Record 2022

How good was our Black Soirèe last week? The room looked amazing, the flash mob was awesome, the mosh pit was heaving and the smiles unmissable. Well done to the organisers. All their hard work is appreciated and ensured a super time was had by all.

Max Rowe is doing recovery his way. Saturday’s regimen contained a shift in the canteen, a stint behind the bar and finished with a bit of crowd surfing.

Our 13’s won strongly to remain top 3, our 15’s are a game out of the 5 and must win today to remain in the hunt. 17’s kept their cool to win a close one by two and have a big opportunity to make it two in a row today. Our C’s are a massive chance today and persistence will get them across the line. After a tough loss last week our B’s are clinging to a top 5 spot and face another big challenge with a top 5 clash today. All eyes will be on our A Graders today as they’re cherry ripe to break through for win #1.

Once again our 16’s didn’t show up in the first qtr and will need to be on their game right from the start if they want to keep their finals chances alive. 18’s moved to top 2 after a strong win. It was great to see Tom Selleck back in amongst it. Our 2’s are 1e out of the 5 and will pull everything out for a win today. Our 1’s showed grit last week and could certainly build a case to be favourites in today’s clash. A massive opportunity to gain reward for a four qtr effort today.

Congratulations to Harry Preston & Cohen Frith who played their first senior games on Saturday. Both acquitted themselves well showed their potential for future long term selection. Thanks and well done to Damo O’Connor who stepped up into the 1’s after a full game in the 3’s.

New recruit Lucas Lakay slotted his very first major in aussie rules footy. It was great to see all the Ressies get around him and celebrate.

Mark these dates in your Calendar. Always fun to be had with the Redlegs.

23rd July Rnd 15 v Drouin – A Night At the Races

13th August Rnd 17 v Wonthaggi – Reverse Draw

Today’s battle in the Lion’s den is yet another opportunity to get that winning feeling. Seize the day. There’s plenty to play for in all matches. Challenge yourself, challenge each other and expand your boundaries.

Challenge Yourself. Good luck to all players and teams.

Go Redlegs.
