Our Season is still alive & B Grade got reward for their persistence & resilience, claiming their first victory of the season. What a day it was las Saturday!
The bouyant vibe continued well into the night with our mid-season ball once again being a huge hit. Thanks to the organisers and all who attended to make it a terrific night.
It’s a big weekend of footy. We’ve got todays matches and the juniors & youth girls combining tomorrow for a Super Sunday of footy action. Peppercorn Park will be in full swing following the official opening on Thursday evening. It was fantastic to have the EGSC, the BCO & all the user groups come together to celebrate the oval redevelopment and the upgraded change rooms including female friendly facilities. It’s a top-class venue for sport in East Gippsland.
All the action starts at 10:30am on Sunday and the players would really love your support on the sidelines.
Speaking of upgrades, our oppo interchange bench is in action for the first time today. Thanks again to all who contributed to this club project, further improving the City Oval experience.
Wimbledon has (almost) finished for the year. There’s one more huge event to be played out in the rooms after today’s matches to complete the Major. So get your tennis gear on and head to the All Redleg Lawn Tennis Club, Boolarumah at BCO. It’s sure to be a Grand Slam night.
Wonthaggi @ Wonthaggi is always a massive contest on the court and field and will be really important in the context of each Club’s season. We need your support at the ground and our friends at the North Pier Hotel in Cowes are making it even easier for you to be there with their awesome accommodation special. Head to their website northpierhotel.com.au and use the code BFNC when you book to ensure you access this amazing offer.
Congratulations to Tyran Rees who notches up 150 Club games today, 3 of which finished with a Redlegs premiership cup. He’s having a great season and is a must watch when the action starts. Well done Tyran.
Also, in a major milestone…. and extraordinarily for an u13 player, the great Lenny Dullard plays his 100th game for the Redlegs tomorrow. Lenny is another who lives the #ClubFirst life. He regularly steps up to help with numbers & fire power at the next level and is often seen on a Saturday with a water bottle or boundary whistle in hand. Well done Lenny. Hope you get a goal or two & a win on Sunday to celebrate.
Mark these dates in your Calendar. Always fun to be had with the Redlegs.
