Rnd 13 2024 Record Notes

As the saying goes, a week’s a long time in Footy & Netball…… and it’s even longer when there is none. Hope you enjoyed the break and are fired up & ready for a really important block of matches on the field & court. Strap yourself in, this 4 week sprint will be epic.

It all starts with today’s matches and today is the only thing that matters today. Our 1’s are 2pts & % outside the 5 & our A’s are in 6th by% only. Our 2’s have the opportunity to draw level in 2nd whilst our B’s are on the precipice of a breakthrough win. Our 3rds & C’s sit 3 games out of the 5 with 6 to play. Injury & players in Seniors & Power have made it tough for our u18 group this season and they are giving 100% every week. Our 17’s sit in the top 3 with a 4pt buffer and our 16’s seem finals nbound in 5th. Our 15’s are in good format the top of the table and our 13’s keep improving and are right in the mix for a finals berth.

NAIDOC Week celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week first began in 1975 and provides an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and celebrate the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. This year’s theme, “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud”, honours the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture – with fire a symbol of connection to Country, to each other, and to traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Congratulations to Archer Crawley who plays his 50th Club game this weekend and also Tanner McMillan who notched up 50 last outing v Drouin. Well done lads.
