Finals 2022 Qualifying & Elimination

It’s week 1 of finals and well done to our 13’s, 15’s & 18’s for making it through.

Our 13’s face Traralgon in the qualifying final with a spot in the 2nd semi up for grabs. The girls are more than capable with just two goals separating the teams last encounter.

Elimination finals for our 15’s & 18’s and an opportunity to advance to a semi final. Our 15’s will go in as underdogs and need to be at their best to get over the line against the Parrots in what promises to be an intense battle.

With 4 of the top 5 teams separated only by %, the Thirds finals series is set to be a cracker. It’s an eliminator v Moe for us and even though we were on the wrong side of two close finishes during the H&A’s, we certainly have what it takes to turn the tables. Our best is good enough to go all the way however there’s no joy for finishing 2nd today.

Last week our twos finished the season on a high with a great win over Warragul. It’s been a tough season in many regards. At last count at least 65 players were involved in their 2022 campaign and finishing just out of the finals in 6th is a great effort, especially by the core group who turned up week in week out. Thanks also to all the 18’s who doubled up along the way.

A two goal heartbreaker for our A Graders last week who put it all on the line. The whole team stuck at it over a learning year that will make them even better in 2023. Our B graders clung to 5th for most of the season and just missed finals in the end.

Well done & thank you to all our players on the field and court. You Challenged Yourself and the way You played and trained personified our values of Belonging, Commitment, Integrity, Resilience & Pride.

Thanks to Kyden Capes who shows up each week, rain hail or shine and runs either the boundary or water. He then backs up to take a leading role in our U15’s each Sunday. All this as well as providing a bit of entertainment along the way.

Winner of the weekly $500 President’s Club draw was Cadbuild Construction and GB & BJ Bills Painting Contractors won the Lucke’s Fresh Food Hamper.
